Creative Move 3

Come check out the Ransom Notes at Creative Move 3, an "all-day, all-night celebration of art, action, and creativity" from Friday, April 25 to Saturday, April 26 at the Hyde Park Arts Center (5020 S. Cornell Ave.). We will perform on the Catwalk at 10:30am Saturday morning. Come for the sweet a cappella and stay for the free coffee provided by Cafe Istria.

CD-Release Concert: Settle the Score

On Friday, April 11, the Ransom Notes are proud to release our newest CD, Settle the Score. The accompanying concert will be at 7pm in Bond Chapel. Tickets are $12 and will include a copy of the CD. We will be performing all of our new songs, and afterwards, everyone is invited to the free CD-release party at DU.

10th Anniversary Concert

This Memorial Day weekend, the Ransom Notes will celebrate their 10th birthday. Many of our alumns will be returning for the weekend to sing with us and to see what the group has become. We'll also be taking this opportunity to say goodbye to our graduating seniors. The concert is on Saturday, 26 May 2007 at 8:30 pm in BARS. Come by to hear completely new arrangements, and a few things that you haven't heard since your first year (or ever!). Tickets are $2 at the door and $1 in advance, and can be purchased from any current Note.

Joint Show With Occams

It isn't often that you get to see the Ransom Notes make fools of themselves on stage! This Friday, May 11, is your chance. We'll be performing a joint show with Occam's Razor in BARS at 8pm. The show isn't free, but it's less than $4

Monday, March 19, 2007: 2 p.m.: Concert at Boston Latin School.
9 p.m.: Archsing at Wayland Arch, Brown University with the Ursa Minors.

Tuesday, March 20, 2007: 9 a.m.: Concert at Guilford High School, Guilford, CT.
7 p.m.: Concert for Alumni at New Pond Farm Environmental Educational Center, Redding, CT.

Wednesday, March 21, 2007: Concert at New York University, time TBA.

Thursday, March 22, 2007: 7 p.m.: Concert for Alumni, Friends, at the Triad, New York, NY.

Friday, March 23, 2007: 10:30 a.m.: Concert at Neighborhood House, Millburn, NJ.
6 p.m.: Concert at 35 State St., Troy, NY.

COUP Performance

Friday, February 16, 2007: We will be performing at COUP's Mardi Gras celebration this Friday, at around 9 p.m. Come to Ida Noyes and find us!

On-Campus Performance

Sunday, January 14, 2007: We're giving our first performance of the quarter, with new material! Joining us is Yale University's oldest Co-ed a cappella group, Redhot and Blue. The concert is at 8 p.m. in the C-Shop, and it's completely FREE! We hope to see you there!

Performance at Saint Louis University

Friday, November 17, 2006: We'll be singing at SLU in the evening, hosted by the Bare Naked Statues, so if you're in the area, come by and see us! Time and exact location TBD.

Off-Off Campus Opener

Friday, November 10, 2006: We're opening for Off-Off Campus, at the Blue Gargoyle (University Church right across from Bartlett) at 8 p.m.

Halloween Concert

Saturday, October 28, 2006: Come to our fall concert, featuring the newest Ransom Notes members, arrangements, and with visiting group Scotch Tape from Macalester University! The concert's at 8:15 p.m. at Bartlett Arts Rehearsal Space (BARS). Tickets are $2 in advance and $3 at the door.

President Zimmer's Inauguration

Friday, October 27, 2006: We'll be singing at University President Zimmer's inauguration on the Quads between 1-5 p.m. More information coming.

Friday, May 26, 2006: Brad, Miguel, Nick and Rebecca are graduating this spring. Come to hear them perform some of our current repertoire as well as their old favorites at 8:00 pm in BSLC 115. We'll be singing with the Yale Duke's Men. Ticket price is $2 in advance/$3 at the door.

An Afternoon of A Cappella at Navy Pier

Sunday, May 14, 2006: In honor of Mothers Day, we'll be participating in "An Afternoon of A Cappella" at Navy Pier, which will feature 5 hours of a cappella, including some of the best groups in the country. We'll be singing from 4:00-4:45 at the Family Pavillion.

Occam's Razor

Wednesday, May 10, 2006: Tonight, we'll be performing an improv show with Occam's Razor at 10pm in BARS. Seeing the Ransom Notes do improv is well worth the $4 ticket price.

U of I trip

Saturday, April 1, 2006: The night after our release concert, we're planning to take a road trip to the U of I to sing with No Comment and their other guests. If you're around for some mysterious reason, stop by the Gregory Hall Auditorium at around 7pm to hear us.

CD Release Concert

Friday, March 31, 2006: CD Release Concert! We're going to be releasing our CD on campus at this concert, so come join us at the 3rd Floor Theater of Ida Noyes. Starting time 8:30. Ticket price of $10 includes Concert, CD, and after-party.
